How does remote bookkeeping work?
We use Quickbooks Online for all of our clients, along with a tech stack that allows us to eliminate the exchange of paper documents.
Quickbooks Online is a cloud based accounting software that offers a variety of subscription levels to suit different business needs.
Using a cloud based accounting software along with other secure cloud based resources enables us to complete all of our work online, without ever having to pick up a stack of receipts or waste paper and ink for printing.
All of the documents needed to manage your bookkeeping are exchanged online through secure portals and then stored securely in the cloud.
How do I give you my receipts for my expenses and other documents?
This is an easy one. You can upload your receipts to Quickbooks Online by using your company’s unique receipt email address or by using your camera phone and the Receipt Snap feature on the Quickbooks Online App.
Other documents, such as bank statements or bills, can be uploaded to your secure client portal where they will be stored in the cloud.
How will we communicate? Will we still have meetings?

Most of our communication will likely be done through email or text message, based on your schedule and preferences. We can schedule phone calls or virtual meetings when we need to discuss things that are more in depth or urgent.
I’m just starting out. Can I afford a bookkeeper?

Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes. We will provide an engagement letter that will be signed by both you and your bookkeeper. This document details what is expected of both parties and will state the scope and cost of the project so everyone is on the same page before we get started.
